Spider Shim Kit from Hooper Racing

Spider shims are a means for experienced clutch tuners to control the amount of slippage on engagement and the leverage of the flyweights at different phases of the shift pattern. This Spider Shim kit from Hooper Racing is a selection of both large diameter and small diameter shim washers for shimming the spider distance and belt gap on Arctic Drive clutches. This kit comes with basic instructions for the use of and effect of various spider shims,it is however for experienced clutch tuners and those with spider grunt tools and special holding fixtures.

Spider Jamb Nut Socket

New jamb nut tool for removing the jamb nut before removal of spider assembly.Later 2010 and newer Jamb nut socket is different from previous models that used to have 1 7/16 jamb nut. This new one is 36 mm, however , many sockets are made oversize and do not fit this rounded nut well and can slip. This precision machined Socket is a perfect fit and has the inner hub machined to fit close over the shaft to keep socket vertical during removal of the jamb nut.

Caution- proper heating and procedure is required for working on drive clutch. This tool should only be used by qualified dealers and experienced service personel with service manual procedures. Irrepairable drive clutch damage or personal injury could result.
